Section of M2 to be closed for works

Motorists are advised that the M2 southbound on-slip at Junction 4 Sandyknowes will be closed overnight for works.

The road closure, which is set to commence at 11pm tonight (Friday), will operate from Sandyknowes Roundabout to the M2 southbound.

A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “The closure is required overnight only for loops repairs.

“An alternative route is Sandyknowes Roundabout, B90 Ballyhenry Road, Prince Charles Way, O’Neill Road, Station Road, A2 Shore Road, M5 southbound, M2 southbound.”

The work is being conducted by DfI Roads contractors.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of between five and 15 minutes.

The work is set to be completed by 6am on Saturday, December 12.
