Section of M2 to be closed overnight for works

A section of the M2 northbound will be closed to traffic from 8pm tonight.

The carriageway will be closed to road users from Junction 4 Sandyknowes to Junction 5 Templepatrick.

The closure is required continuously for major maintenance - resurfacing.

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has suggested an alternative route of M2 northbound Junction 4 off-slip, Sandyknowes Roundabout, Antrim Road, Ballyclare Road, M2 northbound Junction 5 on-slip.

The work, which is set to be completed by 10am on Saturday, June 13, is being conducted by DfI Roads contractors.

Motorists are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.
