Section of Whitehead road closed for resurfacing works

Motorists are advised that a section of Cable Road in Whitehead will be closed to facilitate resurfacing works until October 21.

The road closure, which commenced today (Wednesday, September 2), is operating from Beach Road to Kings Road.

A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “The closure is required daily for resurfacing works.

Diversions will be signed and emergency vehicles will be accommodated through the works site.”

The work is being carried out by DfI Roads contractors.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

The work is due to be completed by 6pm on Wednesday, October 21.
