Three released from hospital

A young woman who was taken to hospital was among five injured following the collision.

Two children were described as ‘badly shaken’.

One man had to be cut out by fire fighters using hydraulic cutting equipment from a black Honda Civic.

A spokesperson for Craigavon Area Hospital said three people were taken to hospital but one has since been discharged.

The incident happened at around 8.50am this morning close to the service station near the M1 roundabout.

The other car involved in the collision was a blue Peugeot 107.

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said they received a call at 8.51am. Two appliances from Lurgan and one from Portadown attended.

A spokesperson for the NIFRS said four casualties were removed from the cars before the fire crews arrived.

It is not known at this time the extent of their injuries.

Also in attendance were three ambulances, three paramedic teams and three police cars.

The road was sealed off for a short time and was reopened by 9.40am.
