Tributes pour in after death of 14-year-old Lurgan boy

THE funeral has taken place of a 14-year-old Lurgan boy who took his own life on Wednesday night last.

The third year pupil at Lurgan Junior High was Daniel Lennon.

Tributes to the youngster have been pouring in on the Lurgan Mail Facebook pages and on the youngster’s own Facebook page.

Daniel was the son of Gary and Karen and brother of Stuart, Graeme, Zoe and Joel.

His funeral started took place on Saturday from Lurgan Salvation Army Citadel, Union Street followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

The Mayor of Craigavon Councillor Carla Lockhart has, on behalf of Craigavon Borough Council, offered her condolences to the Lennon family on Daniel’s sudden and untimely passing.

“My thoughts and prayers are with his immediate family, the wider family circle and all his young friends. This is a very difficult time for those close to him and I pray that the Lord will comfort them in the days, weeks and months ahead,” she said.
