Two casualties cut from vehicle after Doagh collision

Emergency services were tasked to a one-vehicle road traffic collision in Doagh yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.

The Ballymena Road incident was reported to the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) at 1.47pm.

A fire appliance from Ballyclare Fire Station and one from Ballymena Fire Station attended the scene.

Commenting on the incident, a NIFRS spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to a one-vehicle road traffic collision on the Ballymena Road, Doagh yesterday afternoon.

“Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove both the driver and the passenger from the vehicle.

“The casualties were then taken into the care of Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. The incident was under control by 2.26pm.”
