Upper Hightown works ‘extended to second week’

Motorists are advised that a programme of works in the Upper Hightown Road area has been extended to a second week.

The ‘vehicle restraint system’ replacement scheme, which commenced on May 31, was due to be completed by June 4.

Providing an update, a Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “The B95 Upper Hightown Road is closed between the Crumlin Road and the Hydepark Road for repair work to a damaged safety barrier.

“The closure has now been extended to a second week to allow completion of the works.

Diversions are in place. Road users are advised to allow extra time for journeys in this area.”
