Vehicles damaged after striking large pieces of wood on M5

Police have issued an appeal for information after a number of vehicles were damaged after hitting large bits of wood in the Newtownabbey bound lanes of the M5 yesterday (Wednesday).

Detailing the incidents, which occurred at approximately 4.30pm, a spokesperson for the PSNI Road Policing unit said: “A number of vehicles were damaged as a result of striking large pieces of wood in the Newtownabbey bound lanes.

“Did you observe anything falling from a vehicle/trailer?

“Do you have any dash cam footage in relation to this incident?
