Woman hospitalised following Ballyclare collision

A woman has been hospitalised following a road traffic collision in Ballyclare this morning.

The two-vehicle collision, involving a car and a tractor, occurred at the junction of the Ballynure Road and Templepatrick Road.

Detailing the incident, a PSNI spokesperson said: “The collision took place at approximately 10.40am.

“One woman has been transferred to hospital. Her injuries are understood to be non life threatening.

A Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) spokesperson added: “NIAS received a 999 call at 10.41am on Friday, July 17 following reports of a two-vehicle road traffic collision at Ballynure Road, Ballyclare.

“NIAS dispatched one Rapid Response Paramedic and one Emergency crew to the scene.

“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken by ambulance to Antrim Area Hospital.”
