Woman rescued from coastal path

The woman had been walking with her husband on the first day of their holiday when she stumbled and injured her leg.

When the alarm was raised, ambulance paramedics managed to reach the stranded casualty but could not move her over the rough terrain.

A rescue team from Coleraine Coastguard was dispatched to the scene and the injured tourist was stretchered to safety. Coastguards then transferred the casualty to a waiting Ambulance Rapid Response Vehicle.
