Woman taken to hospital due to fallen tree

A woman has been taken to hospital after her car was damaged due to a fallen tree near Lurgan this morning.

Police said they received a report of a tree coming down on Lake Road at 8.14am.

“One car was damaged and the road was blocked,” said a PSNI spokesperson.

Police, NI Fire and Rescue Service and DoE attended the scene.

The road was cleared by 9.22am.

“A female who was in the car that was damaged was taken to hospital as a precaution,” said a PSNI spokesperson.
