Works commence on Ballyclare roads

A lane closure, which commenced at 9am today (Thursday), is operating on the Hillhead Road.

It is running from 360m south-east of A57 Templepatrick Road slip to 1280m north-west of Ballylinney Road junction.

A Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “The closure is required off-peak only for NIE Networks - LV connection.”

The work is being carried out by NIE Networks.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

The work is set to be completed by 1pm on August 13.

Motorists are also advised that a section of the Ballymena Road, Doagh is closed for works.

The lane closure, which commenced at 9.30am this morning, is operating from Poseyhill Road to Newmill Road.

The closure is required off-peak only for Openreach pole testing.

Road users are advised to expect an estimated delay of up to five minutes.

The work is due to be completed by 2.30pm today.

Meanwhile, a lane closure is set to start at 11am today on the Doagh Road, Ballyclare.

The lane closure will operate from 74 to 170 Doagh Road.

A DfI spokesperson said the closure is required off-peak only for Openreach pole testing.
