Treasure hunt is first of many events planned by Lisnamurrican YFC

MEMBERS of Lisnamurrican YFC have been extremely busy over the past few weeks, organising and planning many events.

One of the first of these events is the club’s annual treasure hunt (Monday 6th August) which will leave St.Patricks church hall, Broughshane at 7:30pm, £5 per car with supper to be served afterwards.

The charity sheep sale and raffle will take part in mid-October (date to be confirmed). The money raised from this event will be split between two charities - ‘Act Missionaries’ and ‘sim’ (serving in mission galmi Hospital, Niger). The club will jump start their winter programme with four members abseiling the tallest building in Ireland for Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children on September 2. The club’s Fireside quiz ‘Down on the Farm, has been drawn and the winners of the quiz are as follows:- 1st Elizabeth Patterson, Kilrea, 2nd Avril kidd Broughshane, 3rd Jill huey, Armoy. Thanks to everyone who took part.

IF you are aged 12 and over and, are looking for a new challenge, fun and excitement then Lisnamurrican YFC is the club for you! Young Farmers isn’t all about tractors and wellys.

The club meet every other Monday night for their club meetings and take part in a wide range of competitions, from floral art and acting to knock outs and rugby. Lisnamurrican YFC will hold their first club meeting on Monday, September 3. For more information contact Chrissy on:07702490743.
