Treats at Waringstown WI

A minute silence was held in memory of member Margaret Sheard and past member Rosemary Seifert who sadly died recently.

Guest speakers were Mandy and Nickey from Sainburys. They gave an insight into the history of Sainburys and spoke about the charities they support.

The ladies then had a chance to sample some of their Christmas lines such as mince pies, shortbread and a delicious cheese which was matured in a cave.

Stella Greer thanked the speakers and presented them with a gift.

Lettie Fleming recited the poem that she performed at the speech festival.

Ann Harnett was presented with a silver salver for her carrot cake which won first prize at the Festival of Fruit & Flowers.

Competition winner for a stowaway shopping bag was Sandra Ledlie and birthday girl was Emily Gilchrist.
