Tribute paid to Electoral Officer

Mrs Dobson said she was “saddened” to learn of the passing of Amanda Mason, who had been based in Banbridge Electoral Office.

The local Ulster Unionist MLA said: “I know like many people in the town I was deeply saddened when I heard that Amanda had passed away.

“Alongside her team, Amanda conducted her role at the Electoral Office with professionalism, humour and dedication to duty.

“Amanda was always focused on getting the job done, ever the professional she conducted her extremely important job in our democratic process with both courtesy and skill.

“I extend my sincere sympathies to Amanda’s family, wider family circle and friends at this time.”
