Tributes paid to tragic teens

TRIBUTES have been paid to the two Whiteabbey teenagers killed by a suspected gas leak in a north coast holiday apartment.

Aaron Davidson and Neil McFerran, both aged 18, were found dead at the property in Castlerock on Tuesday (August 3). They died from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning. A third teen who was in the apartment, Matthew Gaw, is recovering in hospital.

Aaron and Neil, who had attended Glengormley High School and were awaiting their exam results, were described by Principal Lex Hayes as "role model pupils".

Newtownabbey councillor Noreen McClelland described the boys' deaths as "a terrible tragedy that has sent shockwaves through the community."
