Trip of a lifetime for ‘G-Mac kids’

THE airline, AER Lingus, says it is proud to partner with US Open and Ryder Cup hero, Graeme McDowell, and his charity, The GMac Foundation, to bring recovering children and their families on a trip of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida.

The children are all cardiac patients of Our Ladies Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.

Aer Lingus sponsored the group of 35, which included seven children and their families from all over Ireland, travelling to Orlando for a ‘dream come true’ holiday in the US.

Aer Lingus Director of Communications, Declan Kearney, told The Coleraine Times: “We were approached by Graeme and his team last year and had no hesitation in agreeing to partner with the G-Mac Foundation on providing these families with a trip of a lifetime. We look forward to hearing all about the trip on their return”.

Graeme said: “I’m delighted that Aer Lingus were able to partner with my Foundation on this initiative. These children and their families have been through so much and we are honoured to be in a position to help them celebrate their recovery with a trip such as this”.
