At a recent board meeting Western Trust Chief Executive Elaine Way said significant investment in Accident and Emergency services had taken place elsewhere in Northern Ireland.

According to a minute of the board meeting in April the Trust boss told members “significant investment (had been) made elsewhere in Northern Ireland and...the Health and Social Care Board recognised the demands on A&E services in the West and intends to undertake a demand/capacity analysis.”
