Funded by Derry City Council, J Paul Getty JNR Charitable Trust, BBC Children in Need, and the PSNI, the teens organised everything from music, a bouncy castle, facepainting, games, refreshments and arts and crafts.

And of course Pudsey Bear made a special appearance at the free event.

Facilitator Nicky Harley said: “These guys have worked really hard to put this event together. They have thought of something for everyone to enjoy.”

“We want to give something to Tullyally that everybody can come to and enjoy,” said one of the teens.

The project started as a way to give back to Tullyally and also to Children in Need, the organisation that “empowers children and extends their life choices” across the UK. The event raised £325.
