TV promotion for Portglenone

The people and place of Portglenone are to feature on Irish TV this weekend.

Presenter of Antrim County Matters, Aislinn Hagan, and her crew were filming in the town last week.

She told The Times afterwards: “Portglenone was such a lovely place to visit with such great people. Everyone we met was so helpful and around every corner there was another fascinating story to tell.

“Nora from the Portglenone Enterprise Group was brilliant and gave us the VIP treatment. It was especially nice to meet John McLarnon and Hugh Thompson, it was wonderful to hear their stories of bygone days and get a little advice of how to lead a happy, healthy and carefree life. I will definitely be back!”

The show airs this Saturday at 7pm (Sky 191) and is also available online
