Tweed jailed for eight years
FORMER Ballymena Councillor David Tweed has been jailed for a total of eight years for sexually abusing two girls.
Tweed, who was a former international rugby player, had been convicted before Christmas.
A total sentence of eight years was handed down for the offences which took place over an eight year period.
