Tweet treat for local schools
Banbridge District Council has presented a hanging bird table to every Eco-School in the District.
Chair of Environmental Services Cllr Carol Black attended schools and awarded the bird tables in recognition of the hard work and dedication shown by staff and pupils.
Eco-Schools is an award which recognises steps taken by schools to reduce their environmental impact and increase pupils awareness of the world around them. Schools achieve different levels of merit including bronze and silver with the highest award being a green flag.
