Two appear in court after car was stolen

TWO men have been refused bail at Craigavon Magistrates Court after a car crashed in Lurgan on the 11th July.

According to the PSNI a car was stolen in the Ballyhegan area of Co Armagh and a similar car was found in Beech Court area of Lurgan.

Two men aged 28 and 33 were arrested in the North Circular Road area of Lurgan after a car was stolen in the Ballyhegan area at around 10.40pm on July 11.

David Brian McComb from Deramore Drive in Lurgan and whose birthday is July 12, 1985, appeared at Craigavon Magistrates Court sitting in Lisburn on July 12 charged with taking an Audi A4 and damaging a fence on July 11.

He was remanded in custody and is to appear at Craigavon Court on 26 July. Bail was refused .

John McComb, aged 33, from Market St in Lurgan faced seven charges when he appeared at Craigavon Magistrates Court on the same day.

The charges were taking an Audi A4 and causing damage to a fence, having no driving licence, using a motor vehicle without insurance on the Kiln Road, Lurgan, dangerous driving on Kiln Road, Lurgan, failing to report an accident and failing to give particulars to police, failing to remain at scene of accident and failing to stop for police.

He was also refused bail and remanded in custody to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court on July 26 .
