Two arrests after drugs find

Police have arrested two men aged 33 and 40 following a planned search of properties in the Armagh area on Tuesday 19 January.

The men were arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A and Class B controlled substance and possession of Class A and Class B controlled substance with intent to supply.

A quantity of suspected Class A and Class B drugs were recovered along with articles believed to be used in the supply of illegal drugs.

Both men have been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Inspector Kieran Quinn said: “Tackling illegal drugs is a priority for Police in Armagh, who work with partner agencies, community representatives and PCSPS to combat the scourge of drugs in our society”.

Inspector Quinn continued: “I would encourage anyone who has any information about the use or supply of illegal drugs to contact Police on the non-emergency number 101. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111”.
