Two bags of drugs found in search of man

A Lurgan man was fined £120 last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for a drugs offence.

Paul Daniel Magee (28), Islandview Lane, Lurgan, admitted possession of 4-MEC on January 20 this year.

The court heard at Dill Avenue in Lurgan police searched the defendant and found two bags containing white powder on him.

Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said Magee had ben out socialising with friends. There had been cautions administered in the past.

District Judge, Mr Mervyn Bates, said this powder was a stimulant and an unusual substance which was of recent origin.
