Two injured in late-night crash on Cookstown to Moneymore dual carriageway

A man and woman were taken to hospital for treatment following in one-vehicle road crash just after midnight on the Cookstown to Moneymore dual carriageway.

A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) received a call at 00.36am to a report of a one vehicle road traffic collision at the Magherafelt Road, Moneymore area of Cookstown on Thursday 10 March.

“One Fire Appliance from Cookstown Fire Station and one Fire Appliance from Magherafelt Fire Station were deployed to the scene.

“One female and one male were out of the vehicle upon arrival of NIFRS with Firefighters using thermal imaging cameras and lighting during the incident. Both persons were taken to a nearby hospital following the incident

“Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service finished at the scene at 00.59am.”
