Two males taken to hospital following ‘incident’ in Cookstown

Police are currently attending a report of an incident at the Sweep Road, Cookstown area this morning (Tuesday 5th August).

Two males, believed to be in their 20’s have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment to injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

One male is believed to have received facial injuries, and the other man is believed to have received injuries to his arm.

At this stage, it is not clear how these men received their injuries.

Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area and to seek alternative main routes for their journey.

Police are appealing for information to determine the circumstances surrounding the two men’s injuries and would ask anyone with any information to contact them at Cookstown Police Station on the non-emergency number 101.
