Two men jailed for bank robbery in Stewartstown

Two Coalisland men have been jailed following the robbery of the Ulster Bank in Stewartstown in 2010.

Ciaran Devlin, 27. of Innishmore Park, Coalisland and his co-accused Noel Woods, 37, of Glen Road, Coalisland were each sentenced to a total of 5 years in prison on Monday (16th June) at Dungannon Crown Court.

Both men were charged with the theft of £7000 or thereabouts from the 
Ulster Bank premises at The Square, Stewartstown on 27th January 2010.

It was reported that two masked men had entered the bank at around noon and 
demanded cash from the bank clerks.

They made their getaway in a blue old-style Vauxhall Astra which bore the registration number SJI 2574 which was later found on fire at Derryloughan Road.
