Two men rescuedfrom the River Lagan

TWO men aged in their mid-thirties were rescued from the River Lagan in Lisburn in the early hours of Christmas morning by firefighters.

The microvent system was used to treat the men and they were taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police said that they also attended the scene at the River Lagan near Hilden on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day where they said a man had got himself into difficulties.
