The Sofitel is located in Kunming the capital city of Yunnan Province China.

Yunnan boarders Burma/Myanmar, Vietnam, and Laos and is less than 100 km from Thailand.

It is a place of diverse cultures and landscapes. Alan combined these mixed influences and ideologies with the Sofitel Brand requirements to reflect “French Design”, and incorporated the owning company’s core business as a steel manufacturer, to provide a sensual, surprising environmental experience befitting of a luxury International 5 Star Hotel.
