Brits Behind Bars: Cocaine Smugglers will outline how the pair were groomed to smuggle 24lbs of cocaine in their own luggage and detail how criminals entice tourists into such dangerous operations.

The now notorious Peru Two were jailed for almost seven years in August 2013 for trying to smuggle the drugs, worth a staggering £1.5m, into Peru from Spain.

Michaella was supposed to have been on holiday in Ibiza at the time and when originally arrested in Peru, denied any knowledge of having the drugs in her luggage.

The documentary will also follow the work of an elite Peruvian anti-drug unit and Inspector Rodrigo Cano as he battles a seemingly never-ending supply of drugs, as well as the British agencies tasked with fighting the war on drugs.
