Tyrone man told police officers: “My aunt is a top judge”

Caolan McCrossan, 26, from Cashty Road in Omagh, admitted disorderly behaviour arising out of the incident on December 23 last year.

A prosecutor explained that police had pulled over the car in which the defendant was a passenger on James Street.

McCrossan became abusive to the officers, calling them “arrogant f***s” and shouting: “You’re f***ed. My aunt is a top judge. Fahy is my solicitor”.

McCrossan then “threw a tantrum”, according to the prosecutor, and began to kick out at the dashboard of the car.

Defending solicitor, Michael Fahy, clarified with McCrossan that his aunt was in fact not a judge and said his behaviour had left “a lot to be desired”. McCrossan was fined £150 for the offence.
