U3A to hold AGM and '˜Human Trafficking' talk

The Annual General Meeting of the Ballymoney U3A will take place at the Old Court House, Charlotte Street, Ballymoney on Tuesday 3rd May at 11am.

Tea and coffee will be available from 10.30am for which there is a cover charge of £1. The speaker will be Rev. Frances Bach, formerly rector of Armoy, Loughguile and Drumtallagh, Diocese of Connor in the Anglican Communion. She will be talking about “Human Trafficking in Northern Ireland”.

Frances said: “Did you know that human trafficking is a huge industry in Northern Ireland? And that you probably walk pasttrafficked humans, or premises in which they work, far more often than you imagine? And that the level of demand in Northern Ireland for one of the industries trafficked humans work in, prostitution, is per capita among the highest in Europe?”

All retired and semi-retired people are welcome to join the U3A in Ballymoney. The U3A AGM is a good time to come and see what we do. Do come!
