Ugne bags top art prize

A PUPIL from Drumgor Primary School has bagged a top prize in an art competition.

Eleven year old Ugne Dougelaite won £250 for the school plus a £25 Tesco gift card for herself in the competition organised by the store to tell customers about their click and Collect Groceries online shopping service..

But the best prize of all was seeing the winning artwork printed on 250 re-usable jute shopping bags which will now be distributed free to parents and children at the winning school.

Ugne, accompanied by classmates, family and school staff visited the Click and Collect unit at Tesco Craigavon to pick up their prize.

Schoolchildren had been asked by the tesco.com team to design an eye-catching picture to go alongside the Click and Collect design to promote the new service in which shoppers can order groceries online and arrange to pick them up in the store at a time to suit them.

The in-store collection service is the first of its kind in Craigavon.

Ugne’s entry was selected by judges for its colour, impact, sense of fun and style.

The Click and Collect service is already a big hit with busy customers who want their grocery shopping picked and packed but don’t have the time to wait at home for a delivery. The service is a great shopping solution for busy mums and young professionals on their way home from work and even better, all collection slots are now free up to December 31 as Tesco wish shoppers a very ”Merry Clickmas”

Customers who would like help placing their first order can call Tesco’s dedicated UK based call centre for new customers on 0845 0700811.
