16% of final years at ‘tech’ drop out

SIXTEEN per cent of final year students at the NW ‘tech’ dropped out in 2011/12. An incredible 2,705 students (16 per cent) dropped out at NWRC during the year. The main reasons for leaving further education across NI were ‘personal reasons’ (46 per cent), ‘entered employment’ (20 per cent) and ‘health reasons’ (19 per cent).
