26k staff denied minimum wage

OVER 26k workers denied the minimum wage have received £4m after action by HMRC. Customs investigated 1.7k complaints in 2012 and 708 employers received penalty charges. In 2012/13 the NI team based in Belfast handled cases resulting in arrears of £334,003 being paid back and charged 46 employers with penalties.
