Another large mammal indicates good health of river

LESS than a month after filming a harbour porpoise in the River Foyle, the Sentinel captured another large mammal in the natural stretch of the waterway between Craigavon Bridge and Prehen on Thursday (September 5).

The Lough Foyle estuary is home to both common seals and grey seals and the animals often take a tour up the River in search of food.

Here’s another clip of a seal in the partly engineered section of the river between the Craigavon and Foyle bridges, taken by the Foyle padders earleir this year.
