Clady bridge isstructurally fine
The cross-border bridge at Clady is capable of supporting articulated trucks and Roads Minister Danny Kennedy has no further plans to divert traffic from the village.
He said: “In order to reduce vehicle speeds and discourage vehicles unnecessarily travelling through Clady, my Department provided traffic calming measures on Urney Road and Bellspark Road within the village in 2008.
“In the past few years, Bellspark Road has also benefited from the provision of additional footways.
“These measures should contribute to improving road safety within the village.”
