Election Day 2015 - Time to cast your vote

The nation hits the polling stations today (May 7) to decide who will represent them at Westminster.

You’ll need to have registered to vote and, if you have, you will have received your polling card by now. This will give detail when and where you can vote. Polling stations are located across the province, and should be open from 7am until 10pm, so you have plenty of time to vote.

To ensure you are able to vote once you reach the polling station, make sure you bring a form of identification with you. The accepted identity documents are:

- Photographic part of your UK, Irish or EEA driving licence (provisional accepted)

- A UK or Irish passport

- An Electoral Identity Card

- A Translink Senior SmartPass/a Translink 60+ SmartPass/a Translink War Disabled SmartPass/a Translink Blind Person’s SmartPass

The identity document does not need to be current - just make sure you are still recognisable from the photograph.
