Hollyoaks to film storyline in Londonderry

The Hollyoaks shoot has been funded by Arts Council NI through Northern Ireland Screen and throughout next week members of the cast and crew will be filming at prominent, recognisable landmarks in the city showcasing Derry-Londonderry as a location.

Shona McCarthy, Chief Executive of Culture Company 203 said: “Having Hollyoaks in town will provide a great platform for showing Derry-Londonderry to a new young audience.

“The city is looking so fantastic at the minute I’m sure it’s going to shine like a real star of the show when the storyline airs on Channel 4 later this autumn.”

A Lime Pictures spokesperson said: “Hollyoaks is known for its exciting storylines that often take viewers outside of the village and we are looking forward to shooting in Derry.”
