Home admissions hit five year low
THE Western Trust says admissions to statutory care homes fluctuated over the last five years before dropping sharply last year.
In 2008/9, there were 256 new admissions across the Trust. This fell to 187 in 2009/10; climbed back to 213 in 2010/11; sustained at 216 in 2011/12; before falling to a five year low of 169 last year.
