When the Housing Executive was approached they blamed it on dog excrement and their inability to get access into the property. The Housing Executive would like to add that the problem has been sorted.

A puzzled Shelbie who is five months pregnant and a mother of one said, “I don’t even have any dogs.”

However, the Housing Executive has since said it had dealt with a similar case.

“The Housing Executive arranged to have the drains cleared at this property last week,” the spokesperson said.

Investigations show the cause of the blockage was wipes flushed down the toilet. We would therefore remind everyone to make sure only wastewater, toilet tissue and human waste goes down drains. We checked with our team and found our Maintenance Officer was called to a similar case at a property nearby where there were a number of large dogs. Unfortunately, he confused the two properties and we unreservedly apologise for stating there was a problem regarding dog excrement.”
