A SURVEY carried out by Cogent and Millward Brown on behalf of the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) has found most people who took part in the Return of Colmcille thought it was great.

The vast majority of the audience had a very positive experience, the survey found. Some 95 per cent of those said that the event had either met or exceeded their expectations with almost half of those surveyed (48 per cent) giving the event a rating of 10 out of 10.

In terms of its effect on visitor numbers, 99 per cent either agreed or strongly agreed the event would improve Northern Ireland’s reputation as a destination for tourists and 98 per cent agreed or strongly agreed that the event would make them more likely to recommend that family and friends visit Northern Ireland.
