NIO holds files oncrunch Scots vote
The NIO says it keeps files on the Scottish independence referendum and its implications for NI but won’t release them to the Sentinel.
The paper asked the NIO for copies of any files held by the NIO relating to the referendum. The NIO said it held information related to the poll and the potential consequences for Northern Ireland but that it would cost too much to locate and extract them.
The Sentinel has asked the Department to internally review its refusal decision.
