Over 100 Magilliganprisoners got educated
OVER 100 prisoners in Magilligan received higher level qualifications in the past three years - the highest number of qualifications awarded to inmates in any of Northern Ireland’s jails.
Between 2010 and 2012 27 prisoners in Maghaberry received awards and 14 prisoners in Hydebank Wood received awards.
But during the same period 112 prisoners in Magilligan received awards.
The Justice Minister David Ford provided the details in response to an Assembly Question.
