Printworks to become shops
LONDONDERRY businessman Colm McGinley has submitted plans to knock down the former Derry Journal printworks and expand his existing filling station to include a new drive-through restaurant and retail complex.
The proprietor of McGinley’s filling station on the Buncrana Road has submitted plans to demolish existing premises at 20 Buncrana Road and also to knock down the old Journal officers at 22 Buncrana Road.
The application is for the: “Proposed demolition of existing premises and reconstruction of commercial complex to house replacement filling station, forecourt shop, drive-thru restaurant/ takeaway and two retail shops.”
