Of 18 other capital projects announced by the Minister a year ago, a number were located in Londonderry.

These included the Ebrington Primary School project, which is closely tied in with the Foyle move.

Over the last two years £164k was spent moving the Ebrington scheme forward.

During the same period £160k was spent on a new school in Eglinton.

There was much more modest expenditure on the proposed Belmont House school in Londonderry and the proposed new Rossmar school in Limavady.

A sum of £10k has been spent on each of these schools but none since the 2011/12 financial year.

The Education Minister revealed the detail in response to an Assembly Question.
