The lads have all exhibited that archetypal Liverpool FC quality of strength through adversity recently.

Darren suffered a spinal injury as an infant and uses a wheelchair and ventilator; Clive copes with a heart complaint and is recovering from a recent fall; and Kevin survived that recent horrific petrol bomb attack in Creggan. But they were all smiles on Monday when they met Rodgers’ Rookies, Corey Whelan and Seyi Ojo, as well as Reds coach Mike Garrity.
