Smyth school to be knocked down
THE Smyth Memorial School at the bottom of the Bigwood Road is to be knocked down to make way for new houses.
The Ardmore school - alongside Lisdillon Primary School and Killymallaght Primary School - closed over 40 years ago and was succeeded by Ashlea Primary School in 1973. A plan has been lodged to knock down the derelict building.
