Swilly creditors to meet

Creditors of the Londonderry and Lough Swilly Railway Company are scheduled to meet in the City Hotel to listen to the directors lay a statement of the firm’s affairs.

The meeting will take place next Tuesday at 2.30pm.

A month ago the Sentinel first revealed the taxman was seeking the winding-up of the historic company, which is linked to the Lough Swilly bus service.

A notice published by the Belfast Gazette advises the meeting will deal with a statement of affairs, the appointment of a liquidator and the appointment of a liquidation committee.

The notice reads: “The resolutions at the creditors’ meeting may include a resolution specifying the terms on which the Liquidator is to be remunerated.”
